STATECONSOLE
Keep useful coding prompts ready to reuse.
Useful instructions get scattered across conversations and notes. StateConsole’s local Prompt Library gives individual Windows developers a place to save them, find them again and copy their contents into an existing AI coding tool.
Save a review instruction, return with context
Fictional example: a developer working on InvoiceAI saves a prompt titled “Password reset regression review,” associates it with the registered project and marks it as a favorite. The project, scenario and instruction below are illustrative.
Review the password reset change against its acceptance criteria.
Check expired tokens, reused links and failed requests.
Separate code observations from checks you actually ran.
Report each check and its result, remaining risks and the next action.
Do not mark the flow verified when a required check has not been run.On returning to the change, the developer searches for “password reset,” reviews the saved instruction and edits it if the acceptance criteria have changed. Copy prompt copies its content to the clipboard. The developer pastes it into their coding tool with the relevant context, then reviews the response and actual validation evidence. StateConsole saves this text; it does not execute it or establish that the flow has passed its checks.
Find and reuse the instruction you need
- Create and edit
- Save a title and prompt content, with an optional description. Edit the saved text when your instructions change. Category and tool labels help organize the entry; selecting a tool does not connect to that service.
- Search and narrow the list
- Search titles, content, descriptions and tags. Filter by category, tool, registered project or agent, or show favorites only. Favorites appear before other prompts, followed by recent edits.
- Keep project context attached
- Optionally associate a prompt with one or more registered projects or agent records. These links help you find relevant instructions; they do not send the prompt to a project or launch an agent.
- Copy the content
- Copy only the saved prompt content, preserving its text and line breaks. The title, tags and associations are not added. If clipboard access fails, select and copy the content manually.
Local storage, execution in your existing tools
Saved prompts, tags and associations live in StateConsole’s local SQLite workspace database. They are separate from repository PROJECT_STATUS.md reports. StateConsole’s local .phbackup backup includes those prompt records and links; it does not include your repository files.
You review and paste the instruction into your existing coding tools. The Prompt Library does not send prompts to AI services, execute coding agents or guarantee output quality. A useful saved instruction still needs current context and a review of the resulting work.
Questions about saved prompts
Does StateConsole run these prompts?
No. It stores instructions and copies their content when you choose. Execution and any validation happen in the tools you use afterward.
Can a prompt be associated with a project?
Yes. You can link it to one or more registered projects and use the Project filter to find it later. The association is optional and does not modify the repository.
Are saved prompts stored in PROJECT_STATUS.md?
No. Prompts are local SQLite records. The status file reports a repository’s current state; its format and storage guide explains that separate boundary.
Can I reuse instructions with different coding tools?
Yes, by copying ordinary text and adapting it to the context and capabilities of each tool. Tool labels are organizational metadata, not native integrations. Review the instruction before using it.
Make reusable instructions part of your workflow

Keep a small set of instructions you can review and adapt when resuming work. For the wider process of recovering context and choosing a next action, read the multiple-project guide. If you are considering StateConsole, check its current pricing and availability.
